From Sevilla, Ricardo Moreno combines his flamenco mastership of the guitar with brings Chacarera rhythms of the north of Argentina and the colors of modal free-Jazz in the musical project “Flamenco Avenue Quartet”
Born into a gyspy family in the depths on Andalucia, guitarist Ricardo Moreno has performed with some of the greatest flamenco artists, such as Alba Molina, “El Lebrijano” and Raimundo Amador.
Ricardo joins forces with fellow Spaniard and bass-player based in NY, the classically trained, award winning Javier Moreno.
Ricardo and Javier together with Argentinian percussionist extraordinaire Franco Pinna and the great George Dubin on the piano will create a new sound that paves the way into the future of flamenco-fusion.
From Madrid, Rebeca Vallejo, a versatile and innovative vocalist, known for combining her ancestral flamenco roots, her deep love and understanding of Brazilian music, with the language of jazz, creating a sound that is truly unique. Her two albums have taken her to stages in Brazil, Cuba, Germany, Belgium, Great Britain and Spain. Rebeca is currently in the production process of recording her third CD which will be produced in Spain, Brazil and the US. The recording of this CD is also going to be subject of a documentary.
Rebeca Vallejo will be accompanied by Emilio Solla at the piano and David Silliman on the percussion/drums.
